He was born in Novoselitsa, Romania, on May 25, 1928. In 1941 he began a difficult journey through four ghettos: his own town, Securen, Mogilev and Popivtsi. At the end of the war, with a sister and his father, he returned to his hometown and then, in 1949, emigrated to Peru, where a brother was already there. He arrived in Venezuela in 1975.
Testimony:
"When we began to learn about what had happened during the war, I felt a lot of rage, a lot of indignation, but on the other hand I felt that one was lucky to survive. Although it is true that I was not in concentration camps with gas chambers, I was still humiliated. Where I was there was a different form of extermination: it was an extermination through time, so that the conditions in which we were kept would kill us".

Nació en Novoselitsa, Rumania, el 25 de mayo de 1928. En 1941 comenzó un difícil recorrido por cuatro guetos: el de su propia ciudad, el de Securen, el de Mogilev y el de Popivtsi. Al terminar la guerra, con una hermana y su padre volvieron a la ciudad natal para luego, en 1949, emigrar a Perú, donde ya estaba un hermano. Llegó a Venezuela en 1975.
Testimonio:
“Cuando comenzamos a enterarnos de lo que había ocurrido durante la guerra, sentí muchísima rabia, muchísima indignación, pero por otro lado sentía que uno tuvo la suerte de sobrevivir. Si bien es cierto que no estuve en campos de concentración con cámaras de gas, igualmente fui humillado. En donde estuve hubo una forma diferente de exterminio: era un exterminio a través del tiempo, para que nos mataran las condiciones en las que nos tenían”.
